Mar 18, 2011 Are there any 3D modeling add-ons that can take a 2D visio diagram and create a 3D model? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Sep 24, 2013 Try these step-by-step instructions to create a diagram using graphical features of the new Visio. Here’s what the 3-D Visio drawing will look like when we’re finished. On the diagram you can see two Visio objects, a half sphere and the letter V. First, we’ll create the half sphere. On the Ribbon, unlock the Developer tab.

How it works?
Fixed Pricing for 2D 3D Floor Plan Services:
For this Microsoft Visio 3D Floor Plan does not appear of what engineering is formed, but rather treats of the source of the building craftsmanship, how it was cultivated, and how it gained ground, orderly, until it achieved its present flawlessness. 9. This book is, subsequently, in its legitimate request and place. I will now come back to my subject, and with respect to the Microsoft Visio 3D Floor Plans suited to the development of Best services for Microsoft Visio 3D Floor Plans will consider their characteristic arrangement and in what extents their rudimentary constituents were joined, making everything clear and not dark to my perusers. For there is no sort of Microsoft Visio Floor Plans in 3D, no body, and no thing that can be delivered or thought about, which is not made up of rudimentary particles; and nature does not concede to a honest investigation as per the principles of the physicists without a precise exhibit of the essential drivers of things, demonstrating how and why they are as they may be. 1. As a matter of first importance Thales felt that water was the primordial substance for goodness’ sake. Heraclitus of Ephesus, surnamed by the Greeks [Greek: skoteinos] because of the haziness of his Visio Floor Plan 3D, believed that it was fire. Democritus and his adherent Epicurus suspected that it was the molecules, termed by our journalists “bodies that can’t be cut up,” or, by a few, “indivisibles.” The school of the Pythagoreans added air and the hearty to the water and fire. Henceforth, despite the fact that Visio FloorPlan 3D did not in a strict sense name them, but rather talked just of unified bodies, yet he appears to have implied these same components, since when taken without anyone else they can’t be hurt, nor are they powerless of disintegration, nor would they be able to be cut up into parts, however all through time unceasing they perpetually hold an interminable robustness.

For years one of Japan’s top Visio experts, Junichi Yoda, has offered his 3D Isometric Piping shapes to download for free. I’ve long loved these shapes (having studied mechanical engineering myself), and have put off far showcasing them on Visio Guy for far, far too long!
Sample Piping System Included
Yoda includes a sample drawing that you can download and play with, to get a feel for how the shapes should be used:

Shapes for Every Perspective
The stencil contains 74 action-packed shapes. Here’s a look at what you get:
Valves, Reducers and Expanders
S and L Joints
Other Isometric Goodies
You can download these wonderful shapes here:
Edit: 2021.06.25 Junichi’s website is no longer active. We haven’t heard from him on the forum for several years and assume he’s retired from Visio. He is dearly missed. The links here and below have been removed. I’ve zipped everything I could find and placed it for download at the end of the article.
Edit: 2009.11.11 link updated to Japanese mirror site, as the old Geocities link was broken or gone.
Cool Extras
In addition to the piping shapes, he’s included some nifty isometric cube shapes. The samples below were all made from one master, simply by dragging on the control handles.
Similarly, the isometric cylinder shape can take numerous forms:
He’s also included dimension lines so that you can add scale and measurements to your isometric piping diagrams:
Junichi’s web site includes isometric fonts that you can download for free, along with complete instructions on how to get them to work with the piping shapes:

- How to Set Up Isometric Fonts for Isometric Dimensions
- How to Use Dimensions

Ease of Use
By gluing joint-shapes to valves, you can easily reposition the shapes, without worrying about re-drawing the piping.
The red handles in the illustration above indicate that the elbow joint is glued at both ends to the valves. When the valves are moved, the joint follows along!
Let’s all give Junichi Yoda a big round of applause, and a heart-felt Thank You for creating this cool set of shapes!
Edit: 2009.01.13 – Stefan, one of our Visio Guy forum members, submitted some fantastic Visio sample drawings that use these isometric piping Visio shapes. Have a look at this newsgroup post.
